Andrew came to the US
on the ship Barbarossa on May 15, 1899 (under the name
Andras) and went to
Poughkeepsie with his brother Michael. Andrew worked in
several manufacturing plants including Erie Corrugated
Box Company. He enjoyed smoking his tobacco pipe
and working on the family farm.
He was naturalized on
June 1, 1934. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall and
weighed 170 pounds, brown hair and gray eyes with a
scar on his right thumb. He entered the U.S.
under the name ANDRO and signed it as such.
